New Tunes for 2013

Hello Band Buddies out there!

Song #4 is now complete for the new "Surrender" CD coming ut in November of this year. You can always hear lots of music from SpiritN3D on Jango Radio Airplay so don't be shy about tuning in! We are doing great in the Philippines and also in parts of India and Malaysia!!! The latest song is right from Corinthians 1 -13 one of my favorite verses of Scripture. Love is patient, Love is kind...........

Do You Really Know Me?????

As we start off the New Year, I wanted all the SpiritN3D Band Buddies out there to know a little bit about me. Enough so that you will know that I truly have a passion for music and for bringing hope to a world that needs it. First of all, I'm a leap year Baby!! That's right, I only get one birthday every 4 years and that has truly been a huge challenge in my life especially when I was a pre-teen. Today it is a wonderful conversation tool when I tell everyone that I'm only a teenager in the number of birthdays I have had. Also, you may be amazed that as a teen, I was a drummer in a successful rock band that had a few records out on Columbia Records!!! Those were the good ol' days when you recorded in a big studio in New York City. I learned to play guitar as a teen and never gave it up. Today I live a work in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates and I still work for the same company after almost 40 years right out of college as a Civil Engineer. Lastly, I'm married to my high school sweetheart and we are still madly in love! Been to Haiti each year since 1995 doing volunteer work with the Hatian Health Foundation and speaking of health.....I'm as healthy and fit as a horse! LOL. Your Love And Your Grace

Well here we are ready for a new year. It's already 2013!! With the recent release of "From Dubai To You" I had several other songs that I wanted to record so I decided that I will be doing another CD in 2013. I have heard the whispers of God saying that this one needs to be simply called "Surrender" and it's all about giving over and trusting in Him, our Lord and Savior and knowing that all we need to do is Surrender our lives to Him and His will and not our own will. The first tune for the Surrender CD is now complete thanks to Miriam Lili of Australia on Keyboards and Sam Castilla of Washington State on lead guitar. Sam & Miriam are both a very important part of the music ministry of SpiritN3D. Your Love And Your Grace is now featured on the site player. Enjoy and May God Bless you in 2013!! ~Dan

Have A Wonderful Christmas Season!

Being here in Dubai, Christmas is not a huge celebration. The birth of Jesus does play a very important role in the Muslim religion but for Christians, it is truly a time to celebrate Emmanuel, the birth of God made Man. What a beautiful time of year to simply reflect on all God has blessed us with including our famililies, our friends and all those that we pass on the streets no matter where we are. Take the time this Season to do something special for those that are not as fortunate as we are. Let's all make this world a place of Joy! You may not know this.... but I can see where all the hits to the website come from but I never know who they are....just where they are. It always amazes me to see people from all over the world checking out the music of SpiritN3D but there is this one faithful fan from Peterborough, Canada that visits my site at least twice a day. I'd love to send that fan a copy of the newest CD coming out in November called "From Dubai To You". "From Dubai To You" is Now Available

Hello Band Buddies!! Well, today I registered all the tunes with BMI publishers and got the CD copy-righted by the U.S. Copyright Office so we all all set to release the CD to the public. From Dubai To You has been a joy to record, arrange and produce here in the beautiful city of Dubai, U.A.E. Again, I want to thank my co-writer and special friend Miriam Lili who has touched every song on the CD with her keyboard and for her help with melodies and lyrics. Also a special thanks to Samuel Castilla who I just recently learned has moved to Washington State. Sam has some great lead guitar on many of the songs on this CD. Sam is a talented writer, musician and recording artist in his own right. His contribution to this CD has made a world of difference. Hope you enjoy this project that is truly a world-wide project from Austrailia to Washington State to Dubai. May God continue to bless all my band buddies out there!! ~ Dan

ITS A WRAP!!!

Song #12 just pulled together nicely with Sam Castilla on lead guitar and Miriam Lili providing the lyrics and melody line for the lyrics in the latest and final tune for the CD coming out in November. The song is called "Call To Prayer" and starts off with the Arabic traditional call to prayer as sung here over loudspeakers at least 5 times a day. This song is a message to all of us how important it is to just stop what you are doing during the day to give thanks and pray for those that need our prayers the most in this world. enjoy this tune now on the site player for just a short time. ~Dan

Heaven Help Us - Song number 11!!

Hello Bandbuddies, Well Sam Castilla just laid down his tracks for this new song called "Heaven Help Us" Thanks also to Miriam Lili for her help with getting the lyrics squared away. This was a tough song to do because I had the music for it completed months ago but I never had a good melody line or lyrics. I prayed hard on this one and wanted it to be about living here in the Middle East and some of the struggles going on here. It's good to have my "shelter from God" who protects me and keeps me safe. Had this song floating around for a while that I wanted to write about my Angel who I know is watching over me here in Dubai. So many times bad situations have suddenly turned around into good things happening to me. I truly believe that God has for each of us an Angel that's nearby to embrace us and lead us to His Ways and not our own ways. Thanks again to Miriam Lili of Australia for helping me with the lyrics and the music melody for this tune. Also, once again, THANKS SAM CASTILLA for rockin' this one out. You are a phenominal guitarist!! Love those harmonics!!! The song will be up on the Site Player for a short time so check it out.

Your Will Be Done!!!!

With the help of Miriam Lili and Sam Castilla on lead guitar, I just finished the latest song that will be on the December CD release of "From Dubai to You". This one is called "Your Will Be Done" and was an idea I had a while back. I wrote the score and Miriam added the melody line and fine tuned the lyrics and our good friend Sam Castilla added his talented guitar licks. Enjoy the tune on the site player for a short time.

Play It Again Sam!!!

After listening to the original Walk By Faith, Sam Castilla wanted to add his lead guitar tracks to the song. He came up with some great sounds to this Leone/Lili tune to really make it come alive. You gotta hear the great "licks" he performs on this song. Although we have never met Sam, it seems like God always places the right people in our lives that will help us grow. Sam is a fabulous singer, songwriter and musician from Portland Oregon that I met on a music blog just like this one. When I visited his website at www.samuelcastilla.com I was blown away by his talent. You gotta hear the passion in his music. It's fantastic. Anyway, Walk By Faith is a wrap and thanks to Miriam Lili for the great lyrics and melody line and Sam for the great guitar leads, its a song we can all be thankful for! Peace Dan

Samuel Castilla Lays Down Tracks for "How Great Thou Art"

It's amazing to me how God weaves His people in and out of our lives when we need them the most. I was looking for a new sound to compliment that great traditional hymn called "How Great Thou Art" and along comes Samuel Castilla, a very accomplished guitarist and musician from Portland, Oregon who I met through a Blog on Banzoogle. Samuel was very interested in laying down a few guitar tracks and wow...... there it was..... the new sound I was looking for on this great hymn. Thanks Samuel for your contribution to this project! Well here it is....."How Great Thou Art" one of my favorite all time classic hymns. We did this in church a few weeks ago and I couldn't get it out of my head so maybe God was saying "Play it and sing it for Me" so I did and this is what I came up with straight up! Got Inspired to "Walk By Faith"

Hello Bandbuddies!
I got inspired last week to finish a neat little tune that's been rollin' around my head these last few months. Whenever I get an idea or a great little riff on the guitar, I ll try to record it so I don't forget it. That's what happens when life is so filled with the ways of the world. We still need to Walk By Faith so that's the name of this 7th song slated for the upcoming CD project to be released in December. The name of the CD will be "From Dubai 2 U" I've posted the song on the site player for a short time. I'd love to hear your thoughts about this tune. I had help with the great lyrics and melody line from my good friend and co-writer Miriam Lili. She has such a heart for Jesus! God Bless and Enjoy!

Ever think about telling someone whoyou know that there is an easy answer when all the "stuff" in the world gets in your way to a closer relationship with God? Can These Bones Live

Hello everyone! Just finished another Miriam Lili tune straight from Ezekiel 37 called "Can These Bones Live". It's always a lot of fun working with Miriam on these songs. She sends me the piano and the synth tracks and like magic, they are transformed into the song so that she has a real part in not only writing the music and lyrics but also performing on the upcoming CD to be released by the end of the year. Just In Time for Easter "When The Promise Comes"

Hey Band Buddies; A while back, Miriam sent the lyrics to a song she wrote called "When The Promise Comes". The challenge was for me to compose my own song using her lyrics and I thought wow....wouldn't it be amazing if at the end we could compare songs and see how much they were alike in structure. They are totally different yet both very much the same in many ways. Just goes to show how God works when it comes to praising Him in song! Another Lili Release from Dubai

Hey Band Buddies;
Just finishing up another Miriam Lili tune over here in Dubai. I have decided to call the next CD "From Dubai to You". It will be a collection of 12 tunes written by both Miriam Lili of Australia and yours truly. I actually have Miriam on piano on a few of her tunes. How cool is that!! So far, the three songs for this 12 song CD scheduled for a December release have been produced here in Dubai and have all been done with only my Taylor 814CE acoustic electric guitar and some drum tracks. It's amazing what you can do with a few good song tracks. I'm posting "Calling Me" for a short time to try and get some feedback. Let me know what you think and God Bless!!!!!! Dan

Some new Tunes from Dubai

Hey All
It's amazing what you can do with just an Acoustic guitar and a few pots and pans and some drum tracks from previous recordings. I have had some time here in Dubai to come up with a couple of new tunes that I will post on the site for a short time for everyone to hear. With the help of my Australian friend Miriam, she has been able to add the keyboards and some piano as well..... so stay tuned for a couple of new songs from SpiritN3D in the coming weeks.
